Hon’ble Founder Chairman – Kallappanna Awade (Dada)

He is the Founder Chairman of Janata Bank and served from 07.02.1963 to 04.11.1976. During his tenure, he laid a strong foundation for growth. Through his dedication and vision, Janata Bank became one of Maharashtra’s largest Scheduled Co-op Banks, now known proudly as “Kallappanna Awade Ichalkaranji Janata Bank”. His leadership continues to inspire future generations.

Late. Shankarrao Ramchandra Hupare

Tenure: 05.11.1976 – 03.11.1985

From 05.11.1976 to 03.11.1985, the responsibility of Janata Bank rested on his shoulders. Being an enthusiastic and dynamic personality, he made a significant contribution to the bank’s growth. As a devoted disciple of Late Narayanrao Babasaheb Ghorpade, he played a commendable role in the development of banking and the overall progress of Ichalkaranji and Maharashtra.

Shri Bhupal Balwant Kagawade

Tenure: 23.11.1985 – 05.09.1995 & 30.08.2005 – 09.03.2008

After Shri Hupare, he took over the bank’s leadership. With his fast decision-making, effective management, and positive attitude, he played a pivotal role in the bank’s advancement and modernization.

Dr. Shri Ashok Balkrishna Soundattikar

Tenure: 09.02.1998 – 29.08.2005 & 10.03.2008 onwards

A visionary leader and veteran banker in the co-operative sector, he focused on Micro Finance for women and underprivileged groups. His efforts in adopting modern technology led to remarkable growth and efficiency.

Shri Darrayappa Gurupadppa Kore

Tenure: 06.09.1995 – 08.02.1998

During his tenure, his contribution to the bank was noteworthy and commendable, ensuring steady progress and discipline within the institution.

Shri Prakash Awade

Tenure: 26.02.2018 onwards

A respected and visionary leader who worked tirelessly to promote the textile industry. As Minister of Textile, he introduced the 23-Point Rejuvenation Scheme, providing benefits like low electricity rates, subsidies, and loan exemptions. His dream of transforming Ichalkaranji into a hi-tech textile city came true through the Textile Park & Industrial Estate on 200 acres.
